Mr. Md. Nurul Islam, the Director General of the Foreign Aided Projects Audit Directorate (FAPAD), was born in 1971 in Faidpur. He joined FAPAD on January 9, 2022, and is a distinguished member of the 18th batch of the BCS Audit and Accounts cadre, having begun his career in 1999. Prior to his current role, Mr. Islam served as the Director General of the Civil Audit Directorate. He also held the position of Assistant Executive Project Director from 2015 to 2019 in the SEIP project under the Finance Division. Mr. Islam completed his graduation and postgraduation from the University of Dhaka and earned a second master's degree from the University of Birmingham, England. His wife, Ms. Dilruba Morium, is a dedicated school teacher. The couple is blessed with two sons.
